Programs—Rebecca Judd

When our summer hiatus ends, we will resume our monthly chapter meetings and I’m very excited about our programs for September and October! Here is a brief overview of the program topics and speakers for these meetings:

On September 24th, Marcey Uday-Riley will speak on "Promoting Training in Tough Economic Times: Speak the Language of Business". In challenging economic times, we must work even harder to ensure that our day-to-day work contributes, directly or indirectly, to the achievement of organizational goals and objectives. Marcey will teach us how to ensure that our training initiatives are clearly aligned with operational goals and objectives and how to speak the language of business in order to communicate that alignment to the decision makers in our organizations. Marcey Uday-Riley, MSW, CPT is a partner at IRI Consultants. Marcey helps organizations achieve business objectives through the design and implementation of training and non-training solutions, systems, processes and practices targeted at leadership development and the modification of individual and team behavior.

For the October 22nd meeting, Leah Lorendo will deliver an interactive session entitled "Impression Management: Are You Aware of How Others Perceive Your Communication Style and Delivery?" Managing the impression you give through your communication style and delivery is crucial to success as a professional. You will leave this session being able to immediately apply one or two communication choices that will strengthen the impression you give your listeners. Leah Lorendo works globally with executives from a variety of industries from Fortune 100 companies consulting in communication style and delivery and message development.

Please mark your calendars and join us for these beneficial and informative sessions! For more information regarding upcoming programs and to register, please visit www.astdstl.org.
